Vision

Lyn's design aesthetic is informed by his regard and study of FENG SHUI; creating harmonious spaces through balanced yin and yang energies. He believes there is an intimate relationship between architecture, interior and product design. Contextualizing traditional styles and giving them a modern perspective is evident in his work.

His unique cultural upbringing of Chinese Jamaican heritage has influenced his design aesthetics. Honouring the austere, minimal aesthetic of Eastern design juxtaposed with the colorful and whimsical flavour of the Caribbean culture has created a signature style. Since moving to Portugal, He has been inspired by the history of design and craftsmanship within the Portuguese culture which has now influenced his aesthetic. Lyn succeeds to execute timeless and functional design with authenticity, easy and comfort as key values. His strong use of lighting, tactile surfaces, color and interesting architectural details create dynamic and functional space to enhance the individual's multi-sensorial experience.

In 2018, after 20 years in the fashion industry, Lyn decided to parlay his experience into another field of design and established Seres Studios. He decided to follow in the footsteps of his parents and join the world of interiors. Today, the firm has grown into a team working on custom products and interior design. Projects range from commercial spaces to high-end residences in Portugal, Canada and the USA. Lyn currently resides in Lisbon, Portugal.

Jason Lyn was born in New York City, USA in 1977. After earning a BFA design degree from prestigious Parson's School of Design in NYC, and studies at Central Saint Martins University in London, Endland, he worked with notable fashion designers such as Alexander McQueen, Calvin Klein, Tiffany & Co., Lambertson-Truex and several other designer brands in New York.
